What a week.....

I don' know whether to be complimented or not. I have not spent but 3 hours a day in the infant Monday through Thursday of last week! i would be giving other lunch breaks ( which is ok) or going back to pre k after care ( which SUCKS). i do miss older kids in a way but not after care.....these kids reg after care teacher could care less and by the time the kids get out of pre k they are wild! If I want to work with older kids then i would prefer to be with them all day....say like three and half yr. olds.....plus I miss my babies. THe ass.t director says I get chosen since they know I versital and can handle all age groups. Then at a sepratre time she said that i had surpassed all the good things that the old coook had told them about me before I even went into say hey to the old cook.

arghhh

My son stole $8 bucks from my night stand yesterday morning. His teacher called me to ask me about it and when he got to the daycare he handed it to me. 2 of the other teachers got on to him about it and then i was talking to him about it when my boss walked in. She told him to dry it up because he was only crying cause he got caught and that she wanted him to write 200 sentences I will not steal anything- among other things she told him- but these are the two I have a problem with.
First I know my son - he was sorry that he did it. Yea there might have been some I wish I hadn't got caught feelings in there but most was that he was sorry he did it. i think REMORSE is a good thing here. And second i think 200 sentences are alot. I told him 100 was enough. This is mostly because I am his parent ( yes the sentences were a great idea) I should decide his punishment. It is not like he did something bad at the daycare where the boss would get to decide ya know? So he is writing this weekend...just had to get that off my chest.

In other news I closed the daycare last night!!!!!!!!!:) They told me about 2 hours before and made a cheat sheet for me.....but I forgot to turn off the lobby lights.....and I can't remember if they are left on normally or not. By the time it was pointed out to me the door had shut and I couldn't get back in anyway. I called the asst. director and let her know - left a voicemail and she hasn't called back, would have called the big boss but she was one to happy when she left......

Let's see............ We had our Halloween festival at work. It was fun. Seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes..the teachers too!:) 3 of the babies were their..including my girl - who I didn't expect since she was out all week sick. I dressed up as a short bus...I wore yellow and had the county name down one side, yellow caution lights on my head along with a flashing safety thing, red tail lights on my bottom, stay back 50 ft on my back and my black heels with white socks ( sidewalls :) ).
Last night we went trick or treating and I need to VENT! Does anyone not remember the rules!!!!! If you are not passing out candy TURN OFF YOUR PORCH LIGHT, don't have a HUGE yard display and NOT be home. To me Halloween is about watching your kids run door to door to get me...um...them free candy. Not even so much about the candy ya know.A couple of years ago we tried going to the town center and doing a church type thing...standing in line for about 10-15 minuted for each game just to get a small handful of candy...it wasn't the same. i had a friend invite me to her church this year...but I just couldn't...going car to car is for car shows ya know?????????
Speaking of car shows we went to one about 2 weeks ago now. It was really fun. my kids both liked it....one for the cars one for looking at guys LOL!!! There is another one coming up in a few weeks that should be even bigger.

UGH!

Why do I say anything!! I told N today that L ( the other teachers in the infant room) had said something about the radio station and how she didn't like gospel music...which n had on the other day. N goes off!! Saying how she comes in every morning and the country station is on (which is true but both L and I like country and we don't listen to it when N is in the room) and she has to compromise all the time because the lite rock station doesn't play enough of her music..which of course is racist.. and she doesn't listen to heavy rap all the time even though we listen to country all the time(again I turn it when she leaves), blah,blah,blah..........................
Oh the drama!!!! If they keep going at it about the music we will not be able to listen to the radio at all which , of course, would really, really suck.

HA!

I snuck out last night.. the dinner for the boss got cancelled but i ditched the kids and went to eat in peaace...ok so it was at subway but hey............ I felt so bad for about 2 minutes :) So I guess I will be watching the neighbors kids Friday night...if they feel like going fishing

Got the windows done

I did 2 of the doors and a small window in my room. We scratched the idea of the pumpkin patch on the lobby doors. Not enough watercolors and I can imagine all the little fingers touching and the paint peeling off.
My neighbor wants us to watch her kids Friday night so they can go fishing. Which is good but last time we did that they were out till 1:30 AM and i had been up since 6 am for an 8 hr training class. Both of my kids were asleep in our house and both of her kids were asleep in their house so I sat out in the yard till 12:30 till I called her and asked when she was coming home. I don't think she liked that very much but what was supposed to do? Sometimes I understand that she has 2 kids 11 months apart and then sometimes it's like hey step up to the plate....they are your kids. But all in all I think they are pretty good parents and great people.

Well my son is not getting totally out of speech. They are cutting him back to once a week though. He is supposed to be getting more help class thingy for his handwriting and if they take him totally out of speech he wont qualify for that. I was to go to a meeting at his school today but his speech teacher and I talked on the phone yesterday and she is sending th epapers home for me to sign...but i still slept in today :)

I get to paint the windows today at work!!!!YAY!!!!!!!!!! We are hoping the boss likes them and won't tell me to take it off. N seems to have lost her attidude today which is a good thing. She was pouting when I came in late today though.

Well she's......

still at work. I guess she still has her job. Though she seemed really pissed this morning...almost toward me. Things got better when the third teacher came in.
Last night at work I wrote up a list of opening and closing procedures for the room. We had talked about this last week and N said that she would do one on her computer. Never saw, didn't really say anything about it anymore and last night I did it. Had k type it up and took it in the room this morning. I don't think it went over well but oh well. It wasn't a long list and it is pretty basic stuff. I did put that the opener should check all the diaper and wipes boxes and fill them for the day....and note who was getting low. I t is so much easier to do that in the morning than to run out of that stuff while the kid is on the changing table. And it shouldn't be a problem if you come in when you are scheduled and not 1/2 hr. late every day.

Worth the Wait........These people are amazing. They adopted 2 kids from Russia and are fantastic parents. I can't imagine bringing home one child who didn't know the language, culture, rules, ANYTHING about life in the U.S. let alone 2 kids! My hat is off to you guys :)

Adopting Ahren (&PBJ too!)......... My prayers go out to this family. They have been trying to adopt 2 kids from Guatemala for ever now. They could really use your prayers right now as PBJ is having a tough time. They also have 2 daughters..if I remember right the oldest is right about my daughters age and an adorable 3, I think, yr. old.

Queen of Dysfunction.......... Oh my......this is one funny lady! I originally found this blog searching for genealogical info on a funeral business that great great grandmothers family started ( and is still going).

Drama at work

Well looks like my room is down one teacher today. She (N) had put in a time off request to gewt off early today - she is giong to school and has tests coming up. I guess she didn't get it off because as soon as the third teacher came in N went out of the room for about 5 minutes came back in, grabbed her stuff and clocked out. She put her request in last week and she always seems to be getting off early and comes in about a half hr late... and didn't seem to happy about my time off request ( just coming in late one day this week) getting approved. I understand it was for her school tests and such but ... I dont know.....to be honest.. some people are never satisfied Ya know???

I have decided that this blog will be a little more personal. I won't give it out to any one at work or 14 yr old my daughter. Sometimes I need to vent about both those things. :) I got to go to Wally world today......on the clock!:) It was only a half hour and I did return the batteries for our swings - K got the wrong size and both the swings died yesterday. I got to print some pics of 2 of the kids at works for their parents. It was fun...just wish it could have been longer. And when i got back the other teacher in my room didn't seem to happy about it but hey one set of the pictures I did was for her and I paid for them - I know she will pay my back. Well got to get back to my babies.........

Went to the park and took pictures of the kids...got one REALLY good one of them both. Yes in the same picture LOL!!!I will have to find a way to post it. Then got some of C watching our neighbor filet some catfish. We are decorating for Halloween at work. Did ( the 3 teachers in the room) some really cute things with the babies feet. Took black paper and first painted their foot white and made 2 ghosts near the top of one side of the paper, then did the ball of the foot orange and made 3 pumpkins under the ghosts and painted a bare tree and a full yellow moon on the other side. They are sooo cute and the parents should love them. We have a teacher in our room this week from the one yr old room ( one of the baby room teachers is out for a few days). Well this teacher is , the sub, is getting all pissy because everyone is doing the same thing to make spiders and she is not in her room. The teacher that is in her room is doing art projects for Halloween but not to her satisfaction I guess.
