The birthdays were on the 5th and 6th....

Happy birthday Dad and a belated happy birthday to my Grandpop yesterday. There are a number of other relatives that were/are born, married or died in November.

I don't even know if it says in my profile that I love genealogy. I got started in middle school, I thin, and then had a wonderful teacher in high school that encouraged me. This was in the late seventies- early eighties in Collinsville, Okla. The teacher was Mrs. H, the school librarian. I checked the schools website in Aug., just looking, around and she is still there! I sent her an email but never heard back... a large part me me didn't expect to but there was a small part that kinda did ya know?

So now I have traced back, on my own, to the Revolutionary War on my Dads side and back to a set of great- great- grandparents on Moms side. Her side is harder since they are relatively recent immigrants and my grandparents were either first or second cousins. With all the secrecy involved I am guessing first. Then thanks to two distant cousins, I have one line traced back to 1569. I also learned this year that one me my ancestors helped hide the Liberty Bell.
-- I study my genealogy so I know who to blame......... :)
